Jenifer Dick - Traditional Roots - Modern Interpretation

Award winning quilt maker and author Jenifer Dick takes you on a 20+ year quilted retrospective from her traditional roots to the transition to modern quiltmaking. We'll discuss the ‘official’ characteristics of modern quilting and see examples of quilts that may or may not be modern based on those characteristics - you decide! Jenifer also shares design tips and ideas with you so you can add a touch of modern to your projects! Jenifer Dick began quilting in 1993 when on a whim she signed up for a beginning quiltmaking class. From that first stitch she was hooked. In 2003, she started teaching and lecturing at quilt shops and guilds, and shortly after, published her first book, Grapefruit Juice and Sugar. She is the author of five quilt books with a new one on the way in Spring 2018, and her work has been published in many other books and magazines. Her pattern company, Everyday Stitches, produces quality quilt patterns for all skill levels.
